LION BALL(lion-ball) –Instruction To Check Water Pump

Step 1

Shut down the engine and open hood.

Find the water pump pulley. Pulley is the round part and attaches the belt. Look for the belts for find it. There will be more than one pulley. Your car will have a generator pulley, may have air-conditioning, power steering pump pulley and smoke. If you are unsure, ask your mechanic to point out the water pump pulley.
Step 5
Grasping the round two pulleys, and check “play” (relaxation): try to rock it back and forth. Should not give up. If there is, the bearings and it will be time to replace the water pump. , You can feel in the water pump pulley, you can also hear the impact of the bad, the engine is running - there may be a low grinding noise from the water pump pulley.
Step 6
Visual inspection water pump (which is behind the pulley) signs of coolant leakage. If the water pump gasket is leaking and must be replaced. This is a very good time to a new water pump, unless it has also recently replaced.
